EPA announced the winners of their 2017 Science and Technological Achievement Awards (STAA), an agency-wide competition to promote and recognize scientific and technological achievements.

HRI Endowed Chair for Socio-economics Dr. David Yoskowitz was among the winners. His team’s project, “Measuring sustainability through ecosystem service-based valuation of coastal restoration projects” received a Level III STAA award. Level III awards are for those who have accomplished an unusually notable research or technological effort. Among those recognized on the project with Yoskowitz include EPA Research Ecologists Richard Fulford and Marc Russell, EPA Aquatic Biologist Darrin Dantin, and John Rogers, director of the EPA’s Toxicity Assessment Division.

The STAA program is sponsored by the Office of Research and Development (ORD).
