The HRI website rocketed into cyberspace with a new look and feel
when it was launched this July.
The redesign project was a collaboration of HRI faculty,
C3 Creative and
Third Coast Photo & Web who put their talents together to showcase HRI’s personnel, facilities,
research projects and current events in a contemporary electronic
format. The original HRI website provided basic information, but as the HRI
moves
forward into a new era of development, the administration determined
that the time for a more dynamic website had come.
The new website design
places the main information in the center of each page, current articles
in vertical sidebars, an extensive
photo gallery,
links to
other Gulf of Mexico programs, and photos and bios of all HRI
personnel and
students.

and underwater photos from the
Harley Moody collection. On the left hand side of each page, buttons provide quick
links to HRI's seminar series,
newsletter and
contact information.
The website will be updated and expanded as the
institute grows and advances.

The HRI's electronic quarterly newsletter,
HRI News,
which was inaugurated with the Spring 2007 issue in March and
followed with this issue, maintains the same look and feel of the website, creating
continuity between the HRI's two main media of communication. |
