Meagan Hardegree, B.S.
Meagan Hardegree is a Master’s Student in the Environmental Science program working for the Ecosystems Modeling Lab under Dr. Paul Montagna. Meagan’s thesis research examines the effect of climate change on benthic organisms in the Guadalupe and Nueces Estuaries. She will be comparing her results to results published by Pollack et al., 2011 Long-term trends in the response of benthic macrofauna to climate variability in the Lavaca-Colorado Estuary, Texas. A secondary portion of her research correlates the number of benthos sampled to fish population data published by Texas Parks and Wildlife. Meagan received her Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science in 2015 from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and started graduate school the semester after graduation.
