Noe Barrera is a research specialist working with the ecosystems and modeling group at the Harte Research Institute. His focus of study is on mollusks and benthos. Noe graduated with his BS and MS degrees in biology from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi (formerly CCSU). His current research focuses on the C-IMAGE (Center for Integrated Modeling & Analysis of Gulf Ecosystems) Project that returns to the site of the Ixtoc I oil spill that occurred in 1979 off the coast of Mexico for clues to deal with the long-term problems created by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Noe is also a contributing author to several books of the Texas A&M University Press Harte Research Institute book series.
