M.S. Geology, University of Texas (2017)
M.Sc. Geoarchaeology, University of Reading (2008)
B.A. Archaeology, Boston University (2005)

Dan began his career in archaeology and was lucky enough to be able to work on projects in Italy, Great Britain, Bolivia, and many places in the United States. He focused on the ways that one can learn about archaeological sites from the soils and sediment in which they are buried and became proficient in the use of near surface geophysics. After several years working in cultural resource management, Dan decided to change gears and move in a direction that would involve greater scientific rigor. He earned an MS in Geology from the University of Texas in 2017 and joined the Geospatial Sciences lab at HRI in July 2018. His research is on the distribution and sedimentological characteristics of washover deposits.
