Ciro Mendoza, Jr.
Ciro Mendoza is a Houston, Texas native with a B.S in Environmental Science with a concentration in Health and Monitoring from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He is currently enrolled in the Geology program for a second Bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date of May 2019. He has worked in the Zhang Lab doing analyzation of greenhouse gases and composition of soil in salt water marshes in Corpus Christi, Texas. His other research interest is in South Texas Mangroves.
As a Research Program Associate for the Harte Research Institute, Ciro assists the facility manager with asset management and event coordination/setup, and also assists with oyster collection for the Oyster Recycling Program and other administrative tasks. After graduation, he plans on pursuing a Master's degree relating to the stewardship of the environment.
