Claire Rydman, M.S.
Claire Rydman is a Coastal Geoscientist in the Coastal and Marine Geospatial Lab at HRI. She received her BS from Texas State University with honors in Physical Geography with a minor in Photography, and her MS from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in Environmental Science. Claire’s thesis research involved numerical modeling of storm-induced coastal change on Galveston Island, TX. The efforts in her research can provide answers towards the sustainable use and management of sand resources to offer coastal protection from future extreme storm events. Her current work as a research specialist involves modeling wetland conversion due to storm surge and long-term sea level rise on the Texas coast.
