She earned her B.S. in biology at Lynn University in 2019 where her studies focused on factors that influence microplastic concentrations found on Florida beaches. Additionally, Elizabeth previously interned with NCH Corporation – Life Sciences in 2018 where she researched the effectiveness certain dosage rates of a proprietary probiotic blend have on the rates of mortality and diseases within Litopenaeus vannamei.

During her studies at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi, Elizabeth will be working towards her master’s degree in Environmental Science as a recipient of a research fellowship granted by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Educational Partnership Program, for the Center for Coastal and Marine Ecosystems (CCME). Elizabeth’s thesis is not yet determined; however, her interests lie within benthic ecology, water quality, and conservation. She is excited to build her knowledge and experiences while at HRI to begin her professional service towards improving society’s ecological footprint.
