Mr. Larry Hyde is a Research Assistant for the Harte Research institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies (HRI) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He received his M.S. in Marine Biology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Additional education includes a B.S. degree in Marine Biology from Texas A&M University at Galveston and B.B.A. from Texas State University. As a Research Associate for HRI, Mr. Hyde performs taxonomic analysis of marine benthos supporting the institutes focus on HydroEcology. As a 25-year veteran of marine benthic investigations ranging from Texas coastal bay systems and near shore Gulf of Mexico areas to shallow and deep-water environments around the world, Mr. Hyde’s unique expertise in the field and lab contributes to our enhanced understanding and capacity to respond to dynamic natural and human forces driving the near and long term health of coastal and marine ecosystems in the Gulf of Mexico.
