Alberto Morales, a NOAA CCME-11 graduate scholar at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, brings a diverse background to the field of Chemistry. Alberto attended Texas A&M University where he received a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering. After graduation, Alberto worked in the medical field as a medical scribe, clinical research coordinator, and field engineer.

His research interest focuses on the transfer of energy in marine ecosystems. Alberto's current project is to study dissolved oxygen dynamics at a Flower Garden National Marine Sanctuary site, where abundant tropical corals are present. The sensor will be integrated onto a Safar Ocean's Spotter Buoy, which is capable of transmitting near real-time data via satellite.

When Alberto is not in the classroom, he can be found hiking, camping, or fishing with friends. He also finds joy in gardening and baking bread. Driven by the desire to contribute significantly to academia, Alberto envisions obtaining a Ph.D. in Chemistry. His goal is to become a professor, focusing on shaping the next generation of scientists and pushing the boundaries of research within the field of Chemistry.
