Mukesh Subedee works with HRI’s Endowed Chair, Dr. James Gibeaut, as a Geospatial Scientist in the Coastal & Marine Geospatial Lab (CMGL). He received his M.S. in GIScience and Remote Sensing from Clark University in 2014, and in Computer Science from University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) in 2010. Following his Master's degree from UNL, he worked at the USGS - Western Fisheries Research Center as a Researcher/Developer, setting up web mapping services for the National Atlas of United States. As a Geospatial Scientist in CMGL, he is currently involved on a project to assess the environmental and socioeconomic impacts of sea level rise along the Texas coast. His research interests are in the field of GIScience, remote sensing and spatial analysis, and using them as tools for disseminating the information for the prediction of future scenarios.
